Self Love and Self Care to Help with Anxiety



Self Love is so important during this time of global uncertainty. Fear and anxiety can wreck havoc on our physical health, triggering a fight or flight response and puts the body on alert.

Anxiety has been implicated in several chronic physical illnesses, including heart disease, chronic respiratory disorders, and gastrointestinal conditions.

This is an important time in giving yourself a lot of self love. Standing in your power and opening your heart. Remember the opposite of fear is courage.

Below is a holistic approach addressing the Do’s and Don’ts of Anxiety

Do

1. Stay active - regular exercise

2. Get some sleep

3. Meditate

4. Eat a healthy diet

5. Practice deep breathing

6. Aromatherapy

Some Essential Oils used to relieve anxiety are:

  • Bergamot

  • Lavender

  • Clary sage

  • Grapefruit

  • Ylang Ylang

7. Drink chamomile tea

Don’ts

1. Don’t drink alcohol

2. Stop smoking

3. Ditch caffeine
